FREE ATOI CLASS: QLab

Actors Theater of Orcas Island:
Have you noticed how much the sound and lighting in a movie adds to the effect?

The same thing happens in our stage plays. If you’ve ever wanted to build and operate the lights and sound for a theater production, ATOI is offering a 4-hour Qlab workshop with Keith Light on Saturday June 28th from 11:00-2:00 at the Grange. This class will give you an overview of the process and our goal is to create a group of interested people to help with future productions. Please call Lynda Sanders at 360-317-5274 to register.

Let’s Do This! It’s Day One of the Orcas Island Community Foundation’s Spring Catalog

Good Morning: This is the first day of the Orcas Island Community Foundation’s Spring Catalog and ATOI is excited!

Actors Theater of Orcas Island (ATOI) seeks to raise $10,000 to upgrade our stage projection production capabilities. This allows for virtual stage abilities, sponsorship and education opportunities  Our productions are performed at The Grange, an intimate and long time wonderful venue.

A high throw projector will greatly enrich the local community‘s theater experience on many levels.  One of ATOI‘s missions is to train aspiring actors, directors and producers .

A projector raises the bar for those seeking a richer educational experience, and theater-going experience.

Our small-community volunteer-driven plays will look polished and seamless. Theater-goers and performers will see the results!

Thank you for supporting Actors Theater of Orcas Island (ATOI). It’s truly appreciated.

Warmest wishes to you and yours,

Actors Theater of Orcas Island

Exciting News: PlayFest is Back!

Auditions at the Grange:
Sunday Feb 16th at 2pm
Monday Feb 17th at 7pm

After a few years on hold, we are thrilled to announce the revival of PlayFest, the beloved Actors Theater of Orcas Island production that celebrates our community’s creative talent.

This year, we are reviving some of the best plays of the last several years, ones we’d love to see again. Whether you’re a seasoned actor or director, or a first-timer, PlayFest offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a production without a major time commitment. Each play is approximately 10 minutes long, and the process includes just 6-8 rehearsals, so even if you're currently in an ongoing production you may still be able to dive in!

Performance Dates:
April 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20
Location: The Grange

If unable to make these dates, please contact Aaimee Johnson at 360-298-1201 or Tom Fiscus at 360-298-0534.
If you’re interested in directing, please contact Aaimee or Tom ASAP.

We can’t wait to see these amazing plays again and hope you will join us. Whether you’re looking to act, direct, or help backstage, PlayFest is an experience you won’t want to miss!
