Exciting News: PlayFest is Back!

Auditions at the Grange:
Sunday Feb 16th at 2pm
Monday Feb 17th at 7pm

After a few years on hold, we are thrilled to announce the revival of PlayFest, the beloved Actors Theater of Orcas Island production that celebrates our community’s creative talent.

This year, we are reviving some of the best plays of the last several years, ones we’d love to see again. Whether you’re a seasoned actor or director, or a first-timer, PlayFest offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a production without a major time commitment. Each play is approximately 10 minutes long, and the process includes just 6-8 rehearsals, so even if you're currently in an ongoing production you may still be able to dive in!

Performance Dates:
April 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20
Location: The Grange

If unable to make these dates, please contact Aaimee Johnson at 360-298-1201 or Tom Fiscus at 360-298-0534.
If you’re interested in directing, please contact Aaimee or Tom ASAP.

We can’t wait to see these amazing plays again and hope you will join us. Whether you’re looking to act, direct, or help backstage, PlayFest is an experience you won’t want to miss!

Plot:
‘Making God Laugh’ follows one typical American family over the course of 30 years’ worth of holidays. Starting in 1980, Ruthie and Bill’s grown children all return home, where we learn of their plans and dreams as they embark on their adult lives. As time passes, the family discovers that, despite what we may have in mind, we often arrive at unexpected destinations.
